Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These are the ground rules for using WorthWorks. By reading articles, subscribing to the newsletter, creating an account, or posting a comment or message, you agree to them. We've kept this in plain English on purpose.

What WorthWorks is

WorthWorks is a publication and community about self-worth, relationships, growth, accountability, and faith. We publish articles, send a newsletter, and let signed-in readers comment on articles and message each other.

Accounts

Commenting and messaging require an account, which we handle through our authentication provider, Clerk. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for anything posted from your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Give us a real display name and don't impersonate someone else.

Your content

You keep ownership of anything you post — comments, messages, and the like. By posting it, you give WorthWorks a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute it as part of the site (for example, showing your comment under an article). You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

Acceptable use

When using comments, messages, or any other part of the site, don't:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Post spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising
  • Post illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or abuse the site's infrastructure

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion, without notice.

Private messages

Messages between users are intended to be private conversations related to the site. They aren't reviewed by us in the ordinary course, but we may access them if needed to investigate abuse, enforce these terms, or comply with the law.

Our content

Articles, branding, and design on WorthWorks belong to WorthWorks unless otherwise noted. You're welcome to share links and short excerpts with attribution. Republishing full articles elsewhere requires our permission — email us.

No professional advice

WorthWorks content is for informational and encouragement purposes only. It is not therapy, counseling, legal, financial, or medical advice. If you're facing a crisis or need professional support, please seek out a qualified professional.

Third-party services

The site relies on third-party services — including Cloudflare for hosting, Clerk for authentication, and Kit (ConvertKit) for the newsletter — to operate. Their own terms and policies apply to the parts of the service they provide. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

WorthWorks is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorthWorks isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
